We're very excited to announce a feature upgrade for the Custom URL app! You can now configure a list of websites to rotate through on a set interval. Using this you can now rotate through websites in a single large frame, rather than trying to fit a bunch of smaller Custom URL frames on one display.
To configure the URL slideshow, first, add a Custom URL app to your CloudShow device.
In the Custom URL configuration dialog, click "Add Website URL," paste in the URL, then click the green "Add Website URL" button. Repeat this process for any other websites you'd like to add to the list.
To configure how long you want each website to be shown, specify the interval in minutes. The default is 15 minutes, but you can set it as low as 1 minute.
When you're finished configuring the list of websites and the interval, click the green "Save" button, and you're all set! If the changes don't show up on your device immediately, click the "Reload Content Frames" link at the top of the device page to force a refresh.
We're very excited to announce a powerful new feature, Widgets! CloudShow Widgets allow you to overlay extra information on your content frames. You can add clocks, weather information, custom text/HTML, background audio/music, and more. To get started with Widgets just click the App icon for your content frame to open the radial menu.
Once the radial menu is open, click the Widgets icon and you'll be presented with a list of all the currently available widgets. Select the Widget you would like to add, then adjust it's settings and position.
Voila, you're all set! In the preview below you can see a clock overlaid on the News app. You can customize the look, location, size and more for each widget.

CloudShow now supports uploading content from 3 new online sources: Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive! Using the all-new upload source selector you can choose where you upload your content from.
As before you can still upload content from your computer, and CloudShow now supports multiple file uploads at once. Just ctrl+click multiple files to select more than one and upload them at the same time.
If you store your files in Dropbox for work or personal use, CloudShow can access them now. You just need to authorize CloudShow to connect to your Dropbox account (as read-only) then just browse to the files you need.
If you use Google Drive to store your media files, CloudShow can now download them into your content section. Once you authorize CloudShow to connect to your Google Drive account (as read-only) your files are just a few clicks away.
If you're a Microsoft OneDrive user, you're in luck! CloudShow can now pull content from your OneDrive account into your CloudShow content. Simply authorize CloudShow to access your OneDrive files (as read-only) and you're all set.
Uploading files to your CloudShow content area is now easier than ever. Check out the new upload providers today!
We're very excited to announce the release of the all-new app selector in your CloudShow dashboard. When you're editing a device or template and selecting an app, the app selector gives you some new options.
The most noticeable change is that all apps are grouped together alphabetically to make finding your app easier.
The advanced filtering in the app selector window means you can quickly filter down the apps to the ones you're looking for.
There is now a 'Recommended Apps' section at the top of the app selector window. This new section shows apps that support the files you have uploaded in your Content area. For example, if you upload some images and videos, the Image Slideshow and Video Player apps will be listed here for easy access.
Check out the all-new app selector on your CloudShow dashboard today! And as always, if you would like to see an app that we're missing feel free to contact us.
We're pleased to announce a few new CloudShow apps to give you greater flexibility in what you can show on your displays! This week we've added Instagram, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and PDF apps to the list.
The Instagram app allows you to login with your account and display a slidedshow of images that are posted to your account. Note that the Instagram API is restrictive and doesn't allow you to pull images from other user's feeds.
On the Content Management page, you can now upload Word, PowerPoint, and PDF documents. They'll automatically get converted into a format that works with CloudShow, and you'll receive an email notifying you when the conversion is done. When the conversion is complete, you can add the newly uploaded files to the appropriate app for that file type. You can also use Word pages, PowerPoint slides, and PDF pages in the Image Slideshow app.
We've just rolled out a CloudShow update with a couple of exciting new changes! We've added a new "Device Map" page, and made some substantial improvements to the Image Slideshow app and Content management pages.
First off, we've added a "Device Map" page so that you can quickly see the location and status of any device in your organization. To view the Device Map, click the "View Device Map" link at the top of your Dashboard, and you'll be presented with a map that looks something like this:
Green balloons represent online devices, red balloons represent offline devices, and clicking on a balloon will give you more details about the device. If there are multiple devices in the same area, they'll be combined into one balloon and you'll see the details for all of them when clicking the balloon. A balloon that's half green, half red indicates there are multiple devices, with at least one online and one offline.
We've also made some great improvements to the Image Slideshow app, and the Content management page. In the Image Slideshow Settings dialog, we've improved the image selector. It now shows image previews, and you can select multiple images quickly by holding CTRL when selecting the images, or by clicking the "Select All" link at the top.
Over on the Content page, you can now easily delete multiple images by using the checkboxes to select them all before clicking the delete button. You can also click the Edit (pencil) icon next to an image to see more details about the image, and replace the image with a newer version if needed.
We're very happy to announce layouts and scheduling for CloudShow! This fantastic new functionality will allow you to create, duplicate, and modify different layouts for a device, and either change between them manually, or on a schedule. You can schedule layout changes for anywhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours.
To add new layouts and edit schedules, follow the steps below:
As always, if you run into any trouble at all, please don't hesitate to contact us.
We're very happy to announce templates for CloudShow! This amazing new feature lets you copy a device configuration to a template, then use that template on as many devices as you want. Simply update the template and like magic all the devices using that template will be updated instantly. Check out the magic of templates today!
We're very happy to announce the new Timer app and the ability to control a client's auto-start setting from the server. The timer app gives you a stopwatch that you can use to time things, just click anywhere in the content frame to reset the timer. The auto-start control lets you decide whether you want CloudShow to automatically launch on your device when the device turns on.
